If you want to get exact measurements, you should calibrate the pH meters periodically. Check the water temperature carefully and make sure on the packet chart that the pH level is the correct one. Otherwise, you will have to calibrate it.
Check the meter instructions carefully to know how you need to calibrate the meter; some require pH4, others pH7, and in other cases both.
pH calibration liquids are single-use; once used, they must be discarded.
