The Vanguard pH meter is a device used to measure the pH level in liquid solutions, irrigation water, hydroponic crops, aquaculture, laboratories, and other applications where the pH of the liquid is an important factor to consider.
The pH is a measure that indicates the degree of acidity or alkalinity of a solution, and it is crucial to ensure that crops obtain the optimal amount of nutrients.
Different plants have different pH requirements for optimal nutrient absorption. Inadequate pH can result in nutrient lockout, which means that plants cannot absorb the available nutrients even if they are present in the soil or solution. In addition, incorrect pH can also cause phytotoxicities, which are damages to plants caused by inadequate pH levels.

Instructions for use of the Vanguard pH meter:
1. Remove the cap from the top of the meter.
2. Place the four batteries included in the box into the corresponding compartment. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and then replace the cap.
3. To calibrate the meter, turn it on by pressing the button located at the top.
4. Remove the black cap covering the sensor at the bottom of the meter, exposing the probe.
5. Immerse the probe in a pH 7 solution. You can obtain the pH 7 solution separately, as it is not included with the meter. This solution is designed to have a neutral pH of 7, which is used as a reference to calibrate the meter.
6. A pH value will appear on the meter's display after immersing the probe in the pH 7 solution.
7. Use the screwdriver included in the box to turn the screw located on the back of the meter. When you turn the screw, the pH value on the display will change. Adjust the value by turning the screw until the display shows a pH value of 7, indicating that the meter is properly calibrated.
8. Once the meter is calibrated, it is ready to measure the pH of the water you will use to water your plants.
9. Turn on the meter by pressing the button at the top.
10. Insert the meter's probe into the water you want to measure and wait a few seconds.
11. The pH measurement of the water will appear on the meter's display.
Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe and efficient use of the Vanguard pH meter. In addition, it is important to calibrate the meter regularly to obtain accurate measurements. Good luck with caring for your plants!
